INVESTING IN CREATIVITY
STUDIO DIRECT is your chance to support an emerging local artist, to endorse creative pursuit, and to ensure that you are getting the year’s only direct discount on my artwork. STUDIO DIRECT brings together a local community of people eager to invest in art in a new & exciting way.
Each year I pre-sell a small number of paintings and sculptures. This funding provides me with the foundation needed for a dedicated studio practice. As a partner, you will get to visit my studio while I’m working on your piece and become a participant in my creative process.
Together, we will increase the value of your investment through a year of creative pursuit.

YOUR ARTWORK
Please understand, this is not a commission. We will have an initial conversation about my past work and assess what you like. From there, I will do my very best to ensure that you receive an artwork that you are happy with.
THE RESULT
Your return will come in two forms: a painting or sculpture made during this unique yearlong program, and the increased value of said painting in the aftermath of our successful partnership.
CONTEXT
What does your investment do for me?
THE STUDIO FOCUS
This project began as a way for me to take on less freelance design work in order to pursue my art practice full-time. After several successful years of funding I’ve been able to hire a part-time studio assistant, expand my body of work to include sculpture, participate in national art fairs and begin seeking out international opportunities.
Your participation in this program is fundamental in creating the structure I need to continue this momentum towards a fully-realized, professional studio practice and is essential to my growth as an emerging artist.
NETWORKING
By establishing personal relationships with Pittsburgh collectors, I hope to strengthen my professional network locally, and see an increase in national opportunities. The exposure gained from this yearlong program will help to increase the value of my work in the future.
WORKING TOGETHER
This is the only time that my paintings will be available at a direct discount. The Patrons who invest in this program will be forming a partnership with me.
While we won’t be working together on the actual art, we will be working together to make a mutual investment in the success of this art. That investment will only grow as this program gains momentum and my career moves forward.

BUDGET
What will your money be used for?
SURVIVAL
A large portion of the STUDIO DIRECT budget goes towards necessities like paying rent & utilities for where I sleep and make art. It also covers health insurance costs through my LLC.
MATERIALS
Art supplies add up quickly! Your funding helps me cover costs of wooden panels, paper, drawing materials, adhesives, etc. As I begin making sculptural work, production costs increase even more with the addition of new tools, hardware and materials.
CAREER
A studio assistant has become vital to my art practice. As they prep work, I can focus on new ideas and creative innovation. STUDIO DIRECT gives me the capability to hire an assistant 1 - 3 days a week depending on my deadline/exhibition schedule. Funding also helps to cover other professional costs such as grant writing, framing, fabrication and installation.
MARKETING
Professional marketing is how I will reach larger audiences. Proper documentation and printing of my work is very important. Part of this budget goes towards photography, production and advertising for various projects over the course of the year.
